The University of Hong Kong retains first place in the QS World University Rankings: Asia Region 2027, followed by Peking University in second. Tsinghua University rises six places to third, completing the top three.
Hong Kong SAR has five universities in the top 10, while China (Mainland) has three and Singapore has two. Although the top 10 institutions remain unchanged from the previous edition, eight have moved positions.
The 2027 edition features more than 1,700 universities across Asia, highlighting both the continued performance of established institutions and changing patterns of university performance across the region.
