TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Metro Police have deployed a joint force of 3,983 personnel to secure a protest organized by the All‑Indonesia Student Executive Bodies (BEM SI) in front of the DPR/MPR (House of Representatives/People's Consultative Assembly) complex in Central Jakarta on Monday, October 5, 2026.
Central Jakarta Metro Police Public Relations Chief Commissioner Akhmadi stated that the security operation involves personnel from the TNI (military), Polri (police), local government, and internal security units (Pamdal).
"The joint security force comprising TNI, Polri, local government, and internal security personnel totals 3,983 individuals," Akhmadi said in a written statement on Monday.
He added that police have also prepared traffic management measures around the DPR/MPR complex, which will be implemented situationally based on the dynamics and size of the crowd on the ground.
