[Financial News] Kwangwoon University is embarking on training global talent in advanced engineering fields such as artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductors (integrated circuits), together with Qingdao University in China. Kwangwoon University said on the 19th that it had held the entrance ceremony for the first cohort of students in its “Electronic and Information Engineering Sino‑Foreign Cooperative Program” at Qingdao University’s Fushan Campus in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China.

The curriculum is an undergraduate program formally approved by China’s Ministry of Education, and officially began operating with the arrival of its first cohort for the 2026 academic year. The aim is to combine the two universities’ strengths in engineering education and research to train specialized talent directly in China.
