Cambodia is moving to align national higher education accreditation standards with the ASEAN University Network‑Quality Assurance (AUN‑QA) criteria to strengthen sector‑wide quality assurance.
The initiative was discussed on Tuesday at a meeting chaired by Education, Youth and Sport Minister Hang Chuon Naron in Phnom Penh.
Officials reviewed revised guidelines developed by the Accreditation Committee of Cambodia (ACC).
The updated standards correspond directly with AUN‑QA indicators at both the institutional and programme levels while retaining specific national metrics.
The revision follows recommendations from the 2025 Education Congress, aiming to integrate regional benchmarks into domestic higher education.
